South Inner City Drug and Alcohol Task Force (SICDATF) was one of 14 Local Drug and Alcohol Task Forces (LDATFs) set up in 1997 to facilitate a more effective response in communities experiencing the highest levels of substance misuse and involve those directly affected by the problem in the development of an area-based drug strategy. The SICDATF is committed to a partnership approach and works closely with people using services, the community, and statutory and voluntary sectors on action research, training, and funding initiatives. SICDATF is responsible for coordinating the implementation of the National Drug Strategy in the context of the needs of the local area.
